FOLIO is an open source community website that began with a tight design deadline and a completely open visual concept: an (exciting!) challenge to say the least!

Before a sitemap, wires and completed content were even started, I had to come up with three very different visual design directions for community members to vote on. Things I kept in mind when designing each comp? Open Source, Community, Librarianship, Technology.

Ultimately, the honey-comb inspired design led the new brand, along with bold colors and strong typography.
